Program Description Provided by the Institution:

All WSPP students are required to take a one-semester (4 credit) course in psychodynamic psychotherapy.  We offer both child and adult courses in this area taught by faculty members who practice clinically from the psychodynamic perspective.  Students in these courses are required to treat at least one client using the psychodynamic perspective and will obtain feedback from their instructor on their skill in doing so.  In addition, we have several supervisors who identify with the psychodynamic position and can supervise students wishing to learn this perspective.  Students will be required to study other theoretical positions as well, however, and receive supervision from supervisors with varying theoretical points of view.
